I’m a filmmaker, photographer, producer, director, editor, technology-geek, husband and daddy to two adorable mutts.
I have taken a very circuitous route to reach the place where I am today, but each twist and turn has taught me something new.
I was born and raised in Southern California and earned a degree in Public Relations from Pepperdine University. A thesis project for an automotive company turned into a career before I had even graduated. My role as Marketing Director forced me to blow the dust off my camera and start shooting again.
From 9-5 I learned sales, marketing and business fundamentals, and then ISO & shutter speed into the wee hours of the morning. The next 4 years were spent trying new things with a camera- learning, failing, and trying again until I understood the fundamentals of light. In 2007, I quit my day job and embarked on a journey that has been filled with cars, racing, wine and manufacturing- not necessarily in that order.
At a certain point, the still images turned into moving images and I cut my teeth learning the dynamics of video at the racetrack- specifically in the world of Drifting. I was quick to adopt new technologies that would allow me to do more with less.
As my reel expanded, so did my client roster. I have had the opportunity to work with some of the biggest automotive brands, creative agencies and companies in the world. I have produced TV Documentaries, content for web and even had two of my commercials air during the Super Bowl.
My background in business and my understanding of production and post allows me to deliver high quality, engaging content that is visually stunning, yet fiscally conscious. The approach has always been the same: do good work and have fun in the process. I truly enjoy seeing a project through from concept to completion.
I look forward to the next project, the next challenge and the next story.
